As a CST4ALL partner, ESTELA hosted the project’s final event in Brussels on 9 September 2025.
The event opened with a welcome address by Peter Heller (DLR), CST4ALL Project Coordinator, who introduced the project’s objectives and activities.
Marina Montero Carrero (European Commission) followed with an overview of the EU policy landscape, highlighting the growing momentum for clean tech R&I and its relevance to the solar thermal sector.
Cristina Trueba, Chair of the Concentrated Solar Thermal Technologies Implementation Working Group (CST IWG), outlined the IWG’s evolution, the updated Implementation Plan targets, CST4ALL’s contributions and support to the IWG’s activities, and the expected roles under the new SET Plan governance.
CST4ALL partners presented the project results:

Peter Heller (DLR) on findings from the R&I perspective
Konstantinos Genikomsakis (ESTELA) on findings from the industry perspective
Hande Eryilmaz (ODTÜ-GÜNAM) on social sciences and humanities (SSH) and gender aspects
A key highlight of the event was a roundtable discussion on EU cross-technology cooperation perspective, moderated by Simona De Iuliis of ENEA, featuring high-level experts:

In his intervention, Joachim Krueger emphasized the unique capabilities of CST as key strengths for Europe’s clean energy future.
