ESTELA has recently joined a new EU-funded project MUSTEC, which stands for “Market Uptake of Solar Thermal Electricity in Europe through Cooperation”, financed by the European Commission within its program “Horizon 2020”.

On behalf of the MUSTEC consortium, I am very pleased to invite you to the MUSTEC Stakeholders’ Consultation Workshop in Madrid, which will take place at CIEMAT premises on 19th October 2017. This event is organized within the framework of the MUSTEC project, and open to public.

About MUSTEC:

The main goal of the project is to explore and propose concrete solutions to overcome the various factors that hinder the deployment of Concentrated Solar Power (CSP) projects in Southern Europe capable of supplying renewable electricity on demand to Central and Northern European Countries. To achieve this goal, the project will analyse the drivers and barriers to CSP deployment and Renewable Energy (RE) cooperation in Europe, identify future CSP cooperation opportunities and will propose a set of concrete measures to unlock the existing potential. MUSTEC combines a dedicated, comprehensive and multi-disciplinary analysis of past, present and future CSP cooperation opportunities with a constant engagement and consultation with policy makers and market participants. This will be achieved through an intense and continuous stakeholder dialogue.

The objectives of this consultation workshop are to:

  • Briefly present the MUSTEC project to participants.
  • Exchange information on the current status of CSP in Europe from various points of view (industry, research, civil society, etc).
  • Present some of the most relevant ongoing cross border cooperation initiatives in Europe Present and discuss the future interconnections’ infrastructure.
  • Share the vision and experiences of member states.

At the same time, the participating stakeholders are encouraged to engage in discussions and active dialogue.

Therefore, this consultation workshop will be a unique opportunity to exchange information and to network. Please confirm your participation by 10th October to Natalia Caldes, the MUSTEC coordinator, at [email protected]
