Stellio Consortium received the SolarPACES 2015 Technology Innovation Award

On the closing day of the SolarPACES 2015 Conference in Cape Town, South Africa, the Stellio Consortium, comprising schlaich bergermann partner sbp sonne, Ingemetal Solar, and Masermic Mechatronics, received the SolarPACES 2015 Technology Innovation Award for the development of the Stellio Heliostat.
Awarded for the achievements in reducing cost whilst improving energy output, the Stellio is the most cost-efficient heliostat available for commercial solar power plant internationally to date. Firstly built in October last year at the Plataforma Solar in Almeria, the Stellio Prototype serves excellent results.

sbp sonne is honoured to receive its third SolarPACES Technology Innovation Award with Stellio, after receiving the prize in 2010 und 2013.

The Stellio Consortium is thrilled with the recognition and flattered to have received the award at the SolarPACES Symposium, which is the most important conference for Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) technology, attracting more than 500 participants from over 40 countries this year.
